A third Kentucky Wildcat has announced his intentions to enter the NBA draft.
On Friday morning, Tyler Herro declared for the NBA draft, saying that he will be signing with an agent but specifically saying that he is testing the waters in this process.
Herro has a chance to end up being a first round pick this season, depending on how well he performs during this process. He averaged 14.0 points, 4.5 boards and 2.5 assists as a freshman, but it’s his ability to shoot (35.5% from three, but 93.5% from the line) and the fact that he was more promising as a defender than most expected that has him with a chance to get drafted in the first round.
Kentucky has already lost both Keldon Johnson and P.J. Washington to the NBA, and it seems likely both are going to remain in the draft. Ashton Hagans has announced that he will be returning to school.
