USC suspended star guard Kevin Porter Jr. indefinitely prior to Sunday night’s game at Oregon as speculation grows that the consensus lottery pick has played his last game for the Trojans.

Porter was awesome through the first three weeks of the season, but after suffering a thigh bruise, he missed the next six weeks amid speculation that an NBA agent had gotten in his ear and told him to shut it down for the season. He returned to action on Thursday, playing 25 minutes in an overtime loss at Oregon State, but between the end of that game and Sunday, he did something to get himself suspended from the team.

“We’ll reevaluate his future with the program this week,” head coach Andy Enfield told the LA Times. “It’s very disappointing. We need all our players to be healthy and available. The last thing you want to do as a head coach is suspend any of your players, but when there’s conduct issues, we have no choice.”

Last month, USC suspended Jordan Usher indefinitely, and Usher eventually later the program and transferred to Georgia Tech.

Porter released a statement on his twitter account on Monday morning following the suspension.

“There has been speculation that I will no longer finish the season as a Trojan,” he wrote, “and those accusations ... are all false. I am a Trojan and never once have been put in a predicament from our coaching staff that I was removed [and] wasn’t [a part] of this program.”
