St. John’s has a late addition to its 2017 recruiting class.

Bryan Trimble, a former Florida State signee, announced his commitment to the Red Storm on Wednesday via social media.

Trimble is a 6-foot-3 guard who spent the last year at post-grad Sunrise Christian in Wichita, Kan. He had signed with the Seminoles, but was released from his National Letter of Intent last week. Not long before that, Florida State secured the commitment of McDonald’s All-American guard M.J. Walker.

Trimble joins four-star wing Sidney Wilson as part of Chris Mullin’s recruiting class. After an extremely difficult first season under Mullin, St. Joh’s improved last season, going 14-19 overall and finished eighth in the Big East.
