Oregon’s first commitment of the 2018 is a significant one.
Mike Norris, a five-star forward, committed to the Ducks on Wednesday evening in a televised announcement.
The 6-foot-9 San Diego native is ranked 21st overall and 42nd in 247Sports’ composite rankings. He chose the Ducks over the likes of UCLA and Arizona.
“Miles Norris is an intriguing forward who displayed some upside last summer,” NBCSports.com recruiting analyst Scott Phillips said. “Young for his class, Norris has the potential to grow into a very good college player.”
Norris’ commitment puts the Ducks in a fantastic spot early in the 2018 recruiting cycle, having secured one of its top targets a full two months before the all-important July evaluation period.
