If there is ever a Mixtape Hall of Fame, Trae Jefferson and Derrick Gordon have a strong case to be first-ballot Hall of Famers.

On Tuesday night, in a 96-58 loss to No. 25 Cincinnati, the Texas Southern duo connected on an off-the-backboard alley-oop.

Jefferson, the 5-foot-7 freshman point guard who recorded the assist on the play, made his long-awaited college debut on Saturday. He scored 27 points, but recorded 11 turnovers in a loss to No. 11 Louisville. Griffin, who completed the highlight, is a two-sport stud, starring on the Texas Southern football team before being dismissed earlier this season.

Jefferson ended with 13 points and five assists. Griffin, who entered Tuesday night’s contest recording five straight double-doubles, finished with eight points and eight boards.
