There could be more postgame rants coming over the course of the next few seasons.

According to a report on Tuesday evening from Todd Hefferman of The Southern Illinoisan, Southern Illinois and head coach Barry Hinson agreed on a two-year extension that runs through the 2019-20 season. The deal was struck back in September, according to Hefferman.

Hinson had been at the helm since 2012. In his tenure, the Salukis have a 62–67 record, but are coming off a 22-win season in 2015-16.

Hinson, who has previously been the head coach at Oral Roberts, Southwest Missouri State and Missouri State, has best been known for his rants. Following a 73-65 loss to Murray State in December 2013, Hinson unloaded on his team in the postgame press conference, a rant that immediately went viral. He would later apologize for his comments.

Just last month, Hinson was at it again, calling out Arkansas fans following a loss to the Razorbacks.

Southern Illinois is currently 5-5 on the season.
