Lance Thomas commits to Louisville

Rick Pitino added to his current recruiting class on Sunday with another commitment from another four-star recruit.

Lance Thomas, a 6-foot-8 power forward from Norcross, Georgia, announced on Sunday afternoon that he had verbally committed to Louisville via his personal Twitter account.

This was the final available scholarship Louisville had for the 2017-18 season.

Thomas joins wing Jordan Nwora, who committed to the Cardinals only 10 days ago, guard Darius Perry and fellow power forward Malik Williams in Louisville’s incoming freshman class.

This has been an eventful month for the program. A day after Nwora pledged, the NCAA charged Louisville with four Level I violations stemming from escort scandal which began last October. Pitino was charged with a Level I violation for failing to monitor Andre McGee, the then-director of basketball operations who allegedly orchestrated parties and paid for strippers for players and recruits.

Despite the investigation looming, followed by the impending charges from the NCAA, it hasn’t slowed down the Cardinals on the recruiting trail.
