Ohio State picked up another commitment on Monday morning as three-star guard Braxton Beverly pledged to the Buckeyes.

The 5-foot-10 Beverly is a scoring guard who can also handle and run an offense as the former Miami (OH) commit was released from his original commitment and opted to do a postgrad year at Hargrave Military Academy.

Beverly also played at Hargrave last season and was a teammate of new Ohio State forward Derek Funderburk so the team’s staff had plenty of chances to see him play over the last few years. Beverly is very experienced at the high school level as he was a starting point guard in the 17U Nike EYBL as early as his 15U summer.

Joining Beverly in Ohio State’s Class of 2017 recruiting efforts is in-state center Kaleb Wesson.
