Minnesota has reinstated forward Reggie Lynch to the basketball team.
Lynch was suspended in May after he was arrested on after being accused of sexual assault. In August, prosecutors announced that they would not be filing charges against Lynch, but it was not until this week that the school completed their investigation into the matter.
Lynch sat out the 2015-16 season after transferring to Minnesota from Illinois State. As a sophomore in 2014-15, the 6-foot-10 center averaged 9.5 points, 5.4 boards and 2.8 blocks.
ESPN.com and the Star-Tribune were the first to report the news.
