2016 Elite 24 rosters announced

2015 NBPA Top 100 Camp

The rosters for the Elite 24 all-star game in Brooklyn have been announced, and there are some pretty big names on the list.

But the rosters are missing some of the biggest names in high school hoops -- DeAndre Ayton, Michael Porter Jr., Wendell Carter, Mo Bamba, Marvin Bagley III -- because Elite 24 is an event that is sponsored by Under Armour.

The five players I just mentioned? They’re Nike kids.

And Nike, once again, is set to host a showcase game for the best players from the EYBL, the grassroots league they sponsor, in the Bahamas at the same time. Last year, Harry Giles III, Jayson Tatum, Miles Bridges, Malik Monk and De’Aaron Fox were the biggest names in a 12-man roster that headed to the islands for what was essentially a “paid-for vacation,” according to Nick Blatchford, the director of grassroots and college basketball for UA.

Anyway, here’s the roster for Elite 24, which is headlined by top ten prospects Trevon Duval, Kevin Knox, Billy Preston, Hamidou Diallo and Zion Williamson.
