CBT PODCAST: Peach Jam recap, Tilmon’s commitment and Nacho Mama’s

Peach Jam has turned into the single biggest event in the summer hoops scene. The finals of the Nike EYBL season, the majority of the best high school players in the country make their way down to North Augusta, S.C., to play in a gym that gets packed to the brim with fans, coaches and media in competitive battles you almost never seen on the summer circuit.

On the podcast this week, I was joined by Scott Phillips and HoopSeen.com editor and longtime Georgia-based scout Justin Young to discuss all things Peach Jam. We got into the history of the event -- which is actually a pretty cool story -- before touching on every relevant story line that came out of the week: Collin Sexton’s rise, Deandre Ayton’s grasp on the No. 1 spot, why people dislike Michael Porter Jr. for some reason, the point guard conundrum in 2017, whether or not Ayton and Marvin Bagley III will every play college basketball.

We also discussed Jeremiah Tilmon’s commitment to Illinois and got into why we as the media have ourselves to blame about the limited access we now get to coaches during live periods:
