Syracuse adds four-star forward in Class of 2016

Syracuse added a late piece to its Class of 2016 recruiting efforts on Friday as four-star forward Taurean Thompson will play for the Orange. The story was first reported by Mike Waters of Syracuse.com.

An active forward who hits the glass and provides a lot of energy, the 6-foot-9 Thompson is regarded as the No. 84 overall prospect in the Rivals national rankings. He’s a great late pickup because he can at least provide some early minutes in the Syracuse front court and gives the team additional depth.

Thompson spent this past season at Brewster Academy as he joins four-star guard Tyus Battle and four-star forward Matthew Moyer in the Syracuse class. The trio gives the Orange a solid group of players to build with the next few years.
