Iowa State has landed a transfer at forward as Ray Kasongo has committed to the Cyclones.

As a sophomore with Tennessee this past season, Kasongo averaged 1.4 points and 1.5 rebounds per game while he appeared in 22 contests.

A former three-star prospect coming out of high school, the 6-foot-8 Kasongo started his college career at the College of Southern Idaho at the junior college level before transitioning to Tennessee last season. Kasongo will have to sit out the 2016-17 season due to NCAA transfer regulations but he’ll have two more seasons of eligibility remaining.
