The younger brother of former St. Joseph’s star Deandre Bembry was shot and killed over the weekend in Charlotte.

“Our heartfelt condolences and prayers go out to DeAndre’ Bembry, his mother and entire family on the loss of his brother,” the St. Joseph’s said in a statement. Bembry is currently attending workouts as a potential first round pick in the 2016 NBA Draft.

Adrian Potts, who was 21 years old, was attending a party at an apartment building, according to WSOC-TV, when shots were fired after a fight broke out at 3 a.m.

Three other people were shot.

According to a story written in the Philly Daily News last season, Bembry and Potts were “best friends”.
