Five-star 2016 small forward Terrance Ferguson has committed to Arizona, he announced Wednesday evening.

A one-time Alabama commit, the 6-foot-7 wing is a consensus top-20 player in his class chose the Wildcats over Baylor, Kansas, Maryland, N.C. State and North Carolina.

Arizona’s Sean Miller, who coached Ferguson on Team USA, has another sterling recruiting class that has three other top-25 commits in Lauri Markkanen, Rawle Alkins and Kobi Simmons, which will make the Wildcats a Pac-12 favorite and potentially a preseason top-10 team with Allonzo Trier deciding to forestall the NBA at least one year.

Ferguson is regarded as an elite athlete that excels in transition who is also a superior defender. He recently was a top performer at the Nike Hoop Summit game where he went off for 21 points on seven made 3-pointers.
