Ratings and Rankings

Kenpom: 133

AP/USA Today: N/A

Seeding: Stephen F. Austin will likely find itself as a No. 14 or No. 15 seed.

Names you need to know: Junior guard Jeremy Senglin got buckets this season as he averaged 18.2 points per game on 49 percent shooting and 44 percent 3-point shooting. Senior center Joel Bolomboy was third in the country in rebounding at 12.8 per contest while he scored 17.6 points per game.

Stats you need to know: Weber State has won 10 of the last 11 games and they’re also a plus 3-point shooting team at 37.4 percent around Bolomboy.

Big wins, bad losses: Weber State didn’t play very tough competition this season. They split a non-conference pair of games with South Dakota State and lost to BYU.

How’d they get here?: The Wildcats opened with a quarterfinal win over Portland State, then got a semifinal win over North Dakota in overtime before winning the title in a tight win over Montana.

Outlook: With a potent scorer in Senglin and a rugged and experienced big man in Bolomboy, Weber State won’t be an easy team for a two or three seed, but someone else has to step up and be a major factor if they want a shot at winning.

How do I know you?: Weber State was in the NCAA tournament in 2014 and gave Arizona a solid game before being bounced in the first round. It’s also the school of Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard.
