A second job in the WCC has opened up as Santa Clara head coach Kerry Keating announced that he had parted ways with the program.
“Sad that I won’t coach this crew next year,” Keating tweeted. “But PROUD AS HELL for what we did to get them ready! Broncos for life.”
Keating has spent the past nine seasons as head coach of the Broncos, winning the CIT in 2011 and the CBI in 2013. But he failed to finished above .500 -- both overall and in league play -- in each of the last three seasons.
The former UCLA assistant never finished better than fourth in the WCC standings.
