GAME OF THE DAY: No. 7 Xavier at No. 10 Providence, 8:30 p.m.

The Big East sure is a gauntlet. Want proof? Providence just beat Butler and Villanova last week to bounce back from a sluggish week and their reward this week is ... a date with Xavier tonight. Kris Dunn is the best player in the league, but Xavier has the makeup of a Final Four team.

FIVE THING TO WATCH FOR

  1. No. 19 Indiana has won 12 straight and is currently sitting at 7-0 in the Big Ten. But they haven’t been tested yet. They will be at Wisconsin tonight at 7:00 p.m.
  2. No. 11 Virginia has struggled on the road this season. They’re on the road tonight at Wake Forest at 7:00 p.m.
  3. Ben Simmons will be in action again tonight as LSU hosts Georgia at 9:00 p.m.
  4. Florida may be the most pleasant surprise in the SEC while Vanderbilt, who they visit at 9:00 p.m., is the biggest disappointment.
  5. It may surprise you but when Creighton plays at Georgetown tonight at 6:30 p.m. it will be two teams tied for second in the Big East squaring off.

THE REST OF THE TOP 25

  • Texas Tech at No. 1 Oklahoma, 7:00 p.m.
  • Kansas State at No. 9 West Virginia, 7:00 p.m.
