Winter Storm Jonas hasn’t even hit yet and it’s already causing problems in the Mid-Atlantic.

The ACC announced on Thursday afternoon that two games involving Virginia will be rescheduled. Saturday’s noon-tip against Syracuse has been pushed back to Sunday night at 7:00 p.m. while their Monday night game at Wake Forest has been moved back to Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m.

Another game involving Top 25 teams that has been moved is No. 16 Providence’s trip to Philadelphia to play No. 4 Villanova. Originally scheduled for Noon Saturday, the game will now be played at 1:00 p.m. Sunday. Temple’s home game against No. 8 SMU has been moved to Sunday, with the tip time set for Noon.

The Atlantic 10 is also having to deal with these issues. Friday’s game between Rhode Island and George Washington, originally scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. tip, will instead begin at 3:00 p.m. The game between Saint Joseph’s and La Salle has been moved from Saturday to Sunday evening at 5:00 p.m. Richmond announced that its game against Davidson, originally scheduled for Saturday, has been rescheduled for Monday night at 7:00 p.m.

And VCU’s home game against St. Bonaventure has been moved from Saturday to Sunday at 3:00 p.m. in a game that will be broadcast on NBC Sports Network.

In Big South action, Longwood’s home game against Winthrop has been moved from Saturday to Sunday evening at 5:00 p.m. In the CAA, Hofstra’s game against William & Mary has been moved from Saturday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. to Sunday at Noon. Drexel’s home game against UNCW has also been pushed back to Sunday at noon.

In the Patriot League, the game between Lehigh and Lafayette has been moved from Saturday to February 8 at 7:00 p.m. Also moved in the Patriot League were the Holy Cross/American and Colgate/Loyola (MD) contests, with both now being scheduled for February 1. Stony Brook announced Friday that its America East home game against Maine, originally scheduled for Sunday, has been pushed back to Monday evening at 7:00 p.m.

The Atlantic Sun announced Friday afternoon that North Florida’s game at NJIT has been moved from Saturday to Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m.

These will likely not be the last games to be suspended, as Jonas is expected to dump up to two feet of snow on the eastern seaboard on Friday night and Saturday.
