Sophomore point guard LouRawls ‘Tum Tum’ Nairn Jr. did not play when No. 4 Michigan State visited Wisconsin on Sunday afternoon.
The 5-foot-11 Nairn is battling planter fasciitis in his right foot and could be out for as long as two weeks, head coach Tom Izzo said during a pregame radio interview.
He’ll miss “a couple of weeks for sure,” Izzo said.
The injury has been bothering Nairn all season long and it’s reached the point where Izzo and the training staff decided to rest Nairn.
Freshman Matt McQuaid started at the point against the Badgers.
