VIDEO: John Calipari wants Kentucky fans to ‘rock the #NBAVote’

With the NBA All-Star game a month away, voting is approaching crunch time for fans who want to see their favorite players make a run at a starting spot in Toronto. With that in mind Kentucky head coach John Calipari took to the “campaign trail,” asking Kentucky fans to get out and vote for their former Wildcats.

Calipari, who dons a “Vote Boogie” (DeMarcus Cousins) headband, a John Wall Wizards jersey and a “unibrow” (Anthony Davis) in the video above, runs off the list of former Wildcats in the NBA including one he didn’t coach in Rajon Rondo. Then there’s the chat with Karl-Anthony Towns’ “friend” Karlito, which was interesting to say the least.

Calipari also took a few moments to ask for votes for two of his former Memphis Tigers in Derrick Rose and Tyreke Evans, and to give inspirational words to those former Wildcats who aren’t in position to make a run at the All-Star Game at this time.

It’s a fun video, which also serves the purpose (be it intentional or not) of reminding people of just how much talent has passed through Lexington under his watch. Not a bad move at all.
