Oklahoma added a talented former four-star recruit via transfer on Saturday as a source confirmed to NBCSports.com that former Ohio State guard Austin Grandstaff is headed to the Big 12.

The Sooners are getting the former No. 44 overall prospect in the Rivals’ Class of 2015 national rankings as the 6-foot-5 Grandstaff should give head coach Lon Kreuger another perimeter shooter.

Grandstaff played in 10 games for Ohio State this season and averaged 4.4 points per game on 39 percent shooting (16-for-41) and 33 percent from 3-point range (12-for-36).

With Oklahoma losing both Buddy Hield and Isaiah Cousins after this season, the Sooners needed some perimeter firepower and some weapons who could space the floor. The addition of Grandstaff should certainly help with that and, along with the Class of 2016 wings in Kameron McGusty and Kristian Doolittle, the future looks solid for Oklahoma on the wing.
