Texas center Cameron Ridley is out indefinitely after breaking a bone in his foot, the school announced on Monday morning.
Ridley suffered the injury on Sunday and will undergo surgery on Tuesday.
A former five-star recruit, Ridley has thrived in his first season with Shaka Smart. He’s averaging career-highs of 12.7 points, 10.0 boards and 3.4 blocks and doing it as one of the most efficient big men -- and best defensive presences -- in the country.
The Longhorns are 8-3 on the season with a win over North Carolina on their résumé. They play UConn in Austin on Tuesday.
