Arizona State will be without productive forward Savon Goodman for Wednesday night’s game against UNLV, according to multiple reports. The 6-foot-6 Goodman is a former Runnin’ Rebel recruit out of high school who was considered a consensus top-100 prospect.
After transferring to Arizona State, Goodman found his footing and is averaging 12.4 points and 7.9 rebounds per contest while shooting 60 percent from the floor.
The junior moved on from UNLV two years ago and it’s a shame that he won’t get to face his former program and coach. It’s uncertain why Goodman will miss Wednesday night’s game or when he’ll return to the lineup. According to ESPN.com’s Myron Medcalf, Goodman could miss the next three non-conference games for the Sun Devils before returning for conference play in early January.
