ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) Two examinations of the University of Minnesota’s athletics department will soon become public.

Their release Tuesday will offer new information about a sports program dealing with upheaval from director Norwood Teague’s resignation after he was accused of sexual harassment. A second department official has also stepped down since the investigation began.

The reports are from a university-conducted financial audit of the department and an external probe of the department’s culture, hiring practices and handling of allegations of sexual misconduct. They will be discussed at a special Board of Regents meeting.

Regents Chairman Dean Johnson told The Associated Press on Monday that school officials hope the reports will detail “anything broken, improper, illegal.” He says it’s an accountability step aimed at rebuilding public trust in the athletics program.
