RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) North Carolina State officials say that guard Terry Henderson has had surgery on his injured right ankle.

Team spokesman Josh Rattray said Thursday that the procedure to stabilize the ankle was performed Monday night, and that Henderson is expected to resume basketball-related activities in 6-8 weeks.

Henderson tore ligaments in his ankle 7 minutes into his first game with North Carolina State, a loss to William & Mary last week. The redshirt junior from Raleigh sat out last season after transferring from West Virginia.
