Northwestern State star Jalan West scored 24 of his 25 points in the second half of a loss at Ole Miss on Friday night, but with 30 seconds left in the game, a collision in the lane resulted in a knee injury for West.
He was helped from the floor with the help of his teammates. He’ll be evaluated by doctors on Saturday when the team returns home.
“We’re hopeful and prayerful that Jalan is OK, but it’s alarming right now. We’ll get hoe and evaluate the situation,” said NSU coach Mike McConathy. “He was phenomenal in the second half and is such a tremendous competitor.”
