FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) TCU will have to wait a little longer to play games in its new basketball arena.

The school said Tuesday that weather and other unforeseen circumstances led to construction delays. The $72 million arena will not be ready for the men’s and women’s teams to play their openers on Nov. 13.

The season-opening doubleheader will be played at the University Recreation Center across the street.

After that, the men will play five home games at Wilkerson-Greines Activity Center, the Fort Worth high school facility the Frogs used last season. The Lady Frogs will play six more home games at the rec center, where they played last season.

The opening event in the arena will be fall commencement Dec. 19, and a day before the basketball teams make their debuts there.
