The NCAA is starting to get more involved with the Louisville sex scandal as ESPN’s Jeff Goodman reported on Tuesday that interviews have taken place on campus the last few days.
Members of the men’s basketball program are being questioned about the allegations in Katina Powell’s book, “Breaking Cardinal Rules: Basketball and the Escort Queen.”
In the book, Powell claims former Louisville assistant Andre McGee hired her to organize sex parties at the players’ dorm. Louisville head coach Rick Pitino has denied knowing about the parties, in which the book names current college basketball players.
The University of Louisville, campus police and Louisville metro police are also all investigating.
The NCAA was eventually going to get involved and this is the beginning of a long process. There will be more interviews conducted over the next few weeks and more evidence to gather before anything is solved in this matter.
