VIDEO: Rayjon Tucker jumps over teammate to usher in new era of ‘Dunk City’

Florida Gulf Coast might be known by many as “Dunk City” but seniors Brett Comer and Bernard Thompson exhausted their eligibility after last season, meaning everyone from that special NCAA tournament Sweet 16 run is now out of the picture. Not to worry, the Eagles still have plenty of high-flying players on the new roster and one of them to keep track of this season is freshman guard Rayjon Tucker.

The 6-foot-5 Tucker was a recruiting coup for head coach Joe Dooley, as many scouting services regarded him as a top-150 prospect in the Class of 2015. Tucker showcased his elite leaping ability on Friday night at “Dunk City after Dark” as he jumped over 6-foot-9 teammate Demetrius Morant to win the event’s dunk contest.

Expect to see more of Tucker’s leaping ability the next few seasons because he’s been known to catch a body at the rim every once in awhile.
