Kobie Eubanks has dealt with an interesting recruiting saga that has already seen decommitments from multiple schools because of academic issues that were out of his control.
The four-star guard was previously committed to Baylor and Alabama during the recruiting process, but he’s now focusing on three schools as he could find someplace to play in the middle of the 2015-16 season.
After not qualifying to go to Alabama this summer, Eubanks now has the qualifying ACT score to potentially play during the upcoming season. Sources confirmed to NBCSports.com that Eubanks is looking into Baylor, Georgetown and Texas A&M as his main options.
In a report from Zach Smart of Zagsblog, Eubanks is also still looking into schools like Auburn and St. John’s but seems to be honed in on his top three schools.
This news carries some significance because Eubanks could find a new school and be eligible at semester break. Although it’s hard to say if Eubanks would be an immediate impact for any of the programs bringing him in this season, he’s a talented wing who can score and he’s mature enough physically to play right away.
Rivals formerly had Eubanks as the No. 101 overall prospect in the Class of 2015 and Eubanks is a nice prospect going forward if he doesn’t end up contributing a lot right away.
