On Friday night, Iowa State Deonte Burton won the Hilton Madness slam dunk contest ... in boots.
Before the final round against Nick Babb, Burton switched from his Cardinal Nikes to a pair of Timberland boots. Burton’s final dunk of the evening was a 360, double-pump slam. Again, in boots.
Last February, a clip of of Burton dunking in boots went viral.
Burton is a transfer from Marquette and is eligible at the end of the first semester. He was named Big 12 Preseason Newcomer of the Year.
