College basketball hasn’t had its own video game for many years but fans of the college game can play as a few different schools in the new release in the NBA 2K series.
NBA 2K16 released a trailer for its “MyCareer” mode late this week, and the fictional character in the video is seen committing to Kansas and later playing for the Jayhawks.
While only a limited number of college teams will be available in the MyCareer mode in NBA 2K16, it is nice to be able to play even a little bit in the college ranks in an updated basketball video game. MyCareer won’t completely satisfy the itch that many have to play a college basketball video game (2K, PLEASE bring back the College Hoops series!) but this is at least a fun step in the right direction.
NBA 2K16 will be released on Sept. 29.
