Tulsa continued to add to its big 2016 recruiting haul as three-star wing Travis Atson committed to the program during his official visit.
The 6-foot-5 Atson attends Notre Dame Prep, which is the former school of Tulsa assistant coach Kim English, and he also ran with the very successful PSA Cardinals in the Nike EYBL. During this spring and summer with the Cardinals, Atson averaged 9.3 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. Atson was especially impressive during the July live evaluation period at Peach Jam, when he upped those averages to 15 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.
Atson joins junior college guards Corey Henderson and Jabar Ray as well as high school guard Lawson Korita and forward Martins Igbanu in Tulsa’s 2016 class.
