Stephen Curry, the NBA MVP and reigning champ, made a surprise appearance at Davidson on Thursday, bringing with him “his friend Larry”, the Larry O’Brien trophy.
His appearance came a day after head coach Bob McKillop was inducted into the New York City Basketball Hall of Fame. Curry worked out with the basketball team and conducted a Q-and-A with the current students at his alma mater, a discussion that attracted so many kids that professors were holding their class while in line:
But that’s not the coolest part: Davidson is in the process of building a new practice facility for the basketball team, and who better to have take the first shot in the building that the best player that the school will ever produce.
I hope he called bank, though:
