Four-star wing De’Riante Jenkins is starting to figure things out in his recruitment as he’s down to seven schools, according to a report from Evan Daniels of Scout.com.

The 6-foot-5 Jenkins is currently regarded as the No. 61 overall prospect in the country and he’s focusing on Clemson, Georgia Tech, LSU, Rutgers, South Carolina, Tennessee and VCU.

VCU and Tennessee have already hosted Jenkins for official visits and Rutgers (9/25) and Clemson (10/2) are also scheduled to host him. That leaves Jenkins with one official visit left. He’s also been to South Carolina for an unofficial visit.

This spring and summer with the Upward Stars in the adidas Gauntlet, Jenkins averaged 16.1 points and 5 rebounds per game in 10 contests. Jenkins shot 49 percent from the field and 79 percent from the free-throw line. Whichever school ends up with Jenkins is getting an attacking wing who can score and handle the ball a bit. Jenkins is also very good in the open floor and he’s adept at making plays using his athleticism.
