Washington’s recruiting momentum continues to pick up as the Huskies landed a commitment from Daejon Davis, a talented local kid in the Class of 2017.
“I am excited and blessed to announce I will be attending the University of Washington,” Davis wrote on twitter.
The announcement from Davis comes just days after five-star Class of 2016 point guard Markelle Fultz committed to Washington and a few weeks after head coach Lorenzo Romar landed a commitment from Jontay Porter, a talented forward from the Class of 2018 that is the younger brother of Michael Porter, a top two prospect in 2017.
And all of that comes of the heels of a massive, eight-man recruiting class that included three four-star prospects, Noah Dickerson, Malik Dime, Marquesse Chriss and another local star, Dejounte Murray.
Davis is a 6-foot-3 point guard from Seattle that plays his summer ball for local powerhouse Seattle Rotary Select. He’s currently ranked 40th in the Class of 2017 and, with a reputation for being a big-time scorer, should be able to compliment a back court that includes Fultz and Murray, assuming both players are still in college by then.
