On Monday, Nevada announced the signing of former Oregon State signee Chris Oliver, a 6-foot-8 power forward that was originally a member of the Class of 2014.

“Our coaching staff is very excited to announce the addition of Cameron Oliver,” head coach Eric Musselman said. “Cameron has superior athleticism and ability to be a force at the rim on both ends of the floor. He is a Sacramento/Bay area product and his family is excited to be within driving distance to watch him play.”

Oliver had planned on attending Oregon State for the 2014-15 season, but he changed his mind after former head coach Craig Robinson was fired and Wayne Tinkle was hired. He eventually sat out last season, meaning that he will be immediately eligible for the 2015-16 season with four years of eligibility remaining.

Oliver joins point guard Lindsey Drew, a former Arizona State commit, in Nevada’s recruiting class.

“Cam and Linsdey Drew help solidify our recruiting class by giving us two former Pac 12 commits in our freshmen class,” Musselman said.
