Tennessee native Jaylen Barford is coming off of a monster freshman season at Motlow State where the 6-foot-4 combo guard was honorable mention All-America. Regarded as one of the nation’s best junior college prospects, Barford announced his top five schools of Arkansas, Memphis, Missouri, Ole Miss and Xavier on Twitter.

During his first season of college ball at Motlow State, Barford averaged 20.6 points, 7.1 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game. The guard shot 52 percent from the field, 32 percent from 3-point range and 70 percent from the free-throw line while shooting a ridiculous 60 percent from the floor during 14 home games.
Brad Winton of Jucorecruiting.com believes Barford is one of the best junior college prospects in the country and described him one of the better rebounding guards in the nation. Barford’s ability to haul in boards and push the break with the ball in his hands makes him an attractive guard prospect going forward.
