Report: Two official visits set for five-star Class of 2016 shooting guard

markelle fultz

After a tremendous month of July, five-star guard Markelle Fultz is taking two official visits, according to Brian Snow of Scout.com. Snow caught up with the 6-foot-4 shooting guard at adidas Nations this weekend and Fultz said that he’ll visit Louisville at the conclusion of the camp, followed by a visit to Arizona on August 8.

The trip to see head coach Rick Pitino and the Louisville campus on August 5 is a big one because Fultz is a fast-rising player in the 2016 class and the Cardinals are getting the first visit. Arizona has also worked hard to bring the Maryland native to the Pac-12. Fultz has frequently made reference to the school during the recruiting process and they’ll also get a visit.

Fultz has maintained throughout the recruiting process that he’ll likely take all five visits, but he told Snow that he could commit after a visit if it feels right. As the No. 23 overall player in the Class of 2016, Fultz had a great month of July and he’s the type of playmaking guard who can give productive minutes right away as a scorer.
