Kansas survives Serbia in a thriller at the World University Games (VIDEO)

Representing the United States, Kansas advanced to the knockout round of the World University Games thanks to a thrilling, 66-65 win over Serbia on Tuesday.

With the game tied and less than a minute remaining, the Serbians ran a beautiful screen-the-screener action for a three to take a 65-62 lead, but Wayne Selden answered with a three of his own at the other end. After the Jayhawks got a stop, Selden was intentionally fouled -- in a tie game! -- and he hit one of two free throws, putting Kansas back up one.

Serbia would miss three shots at a game-winning three on the ensuing possession.

Selden led the way with 21 points, while Hunter Mickelson added 14 points and seven boards and Frank Mason chipped in with 12 points.
