Throwback Thursday: Anthony Davis’ introduction to America (VIDEO)

The first day of free agency in the NBA was about as bonkers as we expected, but the biggest news of the day was arguably the extension that Anthony Davis signed.

Five years. $145 million. The best part? He’ll be signing another contract when he’s 28 years old, also known as the middle of his prime. In honor of the 22-year old that may be the most valuable commodity in the entire sport, the first moment he really stepped onto a national stage.

Back in the 2011-12 season, Kentucky and North Carolina were widely considered the two best teams in the country. They squared off in early December of that season in Rupp Arena in a game that came down to a final possession.
