The Rush brothers — JaRon, Kareem and Brandon — are basketball royalty in Kansas City.
JaRon was the No. 1 player in the country in his class, heading to UCLA where accusations of NCAA violations cost him his college career. He never lived up to his potential, but Kareem and Brandon did, as they made it through both sides of a heated rivalry — Kareem went to Missouri, Brandon to Kansas — and put together extended NBA careers.
A filmmaker in KC, Jordan Haro, put together a 10 minute mini-documentary on the family, and after winning a contest, DirecTV will be funding the project and turning it into a full-length documentary.
It should be fantastic.
