Oklahoma State released its non-conference schedule on Friday and the Cowboys will give themselves some challenging games away from home.

Besides playing a difficult Big 12 schedule, Travis Ford’s ballclub will have to travel to Charleston for the Charleston Classic from Nov. 19-22, which also features Virginia, Ole Miss, Seton Hall, Bradley, George Mason and Towson. The Cowboys will also have neutral-site games against Minnesota at Sioux Falls, SD and Florida in the Orange Bowl Classic in Sunrise, Florida. Oklahoma State will also take part in the Big 12/SEC Challenge with a road game at Auburn on Jan. 30.

With a bunch of difficult games away from home, Oklahoma State also has some interesting opponents at Gallagher-Iba Arena. Long Beach State, Tulsa and Missouri State are three games to monitor on the home slate for the Cowboys before they get into Big 12 play.

This schedule should give Oklahoma State quite a few tests early in the year and it will be interesting to see if the Cowboys can use this schedule to make the NCAA Tournament for the fourth consecutive year.
