The McDonald’s All-American Games will return to Chicago for the sixth consecutive year in 2016, according to an official release. The 2016 contests -- the 39th annual boys game and 15th annual girls game -- will be played on March 30, 2016 at the United Center.

Future locations for the McDonald’s All-American Games for 2017 and beyond will be determined at a later date.

With a five-year attendance record of over 80,000 fans, it’s no surprise that the game is returning to Chicago, since it has drawn a healthy amount of fans every year. The games in Chicago have helped raise $2.6 million for Ronald McDonald House Charities. In the five years the annual high school all-star games have been at the United Center, they have held an average of 16,765 fans per year, including a record 20,019 fans for the 2011 contest.
