The recruiting momentum continued for Texas A&M on Saturday as three-star power forward Robert Williams committed to the Aggies, a source confirmed to NBCSports.com. The 6-foot-8 Williams is one of the most athletically-gifted forwards in the Class of 2016 and is a very solid pickup for Texas A&M.

During the spring, Williams ran with Houston Hoops and was one of the most productive players in the Nike EYBL when he saw the floor. The native of Vivian, Louisiana led the league at 3.6 blocked shots per game while also averaging 8.1 points and 6.5 rebounds per contest. Williams’ numbers are impressive when you factor in that he was only averaging 17.5 minutes a game.

A tremendous run-and-jump athlete who makes plays near or above the rim, Williams has a lot of upside if he can figure out how to refine his skill level. Williams joins four-star point guard J.J. Caldwell in the Texas A&M 2016 class and the Aggies are continuing to add quality pieces after a great 2015 recruiting haul.
