CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- The NBPA Top 100 Camp starts to slow down quite a bit on Friday, as the third day of games at the event usually merits some tired legs and guys who aren’t willing to fight through it. A pair of five-star Class of 2017 prospects continued to stand out as forward Billy Preston and guard Trevon Duval had productive outings on Friday morning.

The 6-foot-8 Preston is coming off of an impressive spring and he’s also put together a very strong month of June as he’s proved to be one of the most versatile front-court scorers in the country. At times during the high school season and in the spring, Preston would settle for mediocre looks and get by purely on ability.

Now he’s starting to approach things differently and it’s resulting in more post touches and a more refined approach on offense. Preston is still prone to some wild shots, but he’s also been very tough to check during top 100 camp because he can hit shots or take slower players off the bounce.

At 6-foot-2, Duval had a really good spring with We R1 in the Under Armour Association and that strong play has continued at NBPA Top 100 Camp. An explosive athlete who can change speeds and find open players, Duval can also get points on his own and he’s looking every bit like a five-star player entering the month of July.

Both Preston and Duval have merited considerable buzz in Charlottesville this week and both players look like potential All-Americans down the line.

Eron Gordon currently favors five schools

As a four-star Class of 2016 guard, Indiana native Eron Gordon is already drawing plenty of interest. The younger brother of former Indiana guard Eric Gordon, Eron is currently looking at five schools that are on him the most.

Arizona State, Auburn, Butler, Indiana and Notre Dame currently make up Gordon’s top five, he told reporters at the camp, but he’s also allowing other schools to enter the picture if they come in with serious interest.

“I’m probably going to wait to see if someone else comes in the mix,” Gordon said. “I’m not sure when I’m settling [on a list].”

The 6-foot-2 Gordon is currently regarded as the No. 57 overall prospect in Rivals’ Class of 2016 rankings. Both Indiana and Arizona State can stake claim to having a Gordon brother before as middle brother Evan was a Sun Devil early in his career.

After decommitment, Sacha Killeya-Jones hearing from new schools

Four-star forward Sacha Killeya-Jones has been hearing from some new schools now that he decommitted from Virginia earlier this month. The 6-foot-9 native of Virginia has recent scholarship offers from Florida, Kentucky, North Carolina and N.C. State and the staffs at Cal and Texas have also reached out since he opened things up.

Currently regarded as the No. 73 overall prospect in the Class of 2016, Killeya-Jones will be closely tracked by high-major schools in July.
