Ole Miss landed a commitment from a Class of 2016 junior college center this weekend as Tyrek Coger committed to the SEC program. A former Missouri commitment, the 6-foot-9, 240-pound Coger fills a key need for the Rebels for the 2016-17 season.

With the team losing Anthony Perez and Tomasz Gielo to graduation after the 2015-16 season, Coger can come in and play right away and fill some of those minutes.

Originally a member of the 2013 class, Coger started his career at Eastern Florida State College before transferring to Cape Fear Community College. The big man sat out last season due to academic concerns and enters 2015-16 as a redshirt sophomore.

Coger will have two years left at Ole Miss and gives the Rebels a jump start on recruiting before July.
