Georgetown had fans enter court designs in a contest in which they received more than 150 entrants. The school picked a winner on Tuesday as the school unveiled the winning design.

The new design, which features the lane with the traditional kente-cloth pattern that was first on Georgetown uniforms in the early ‘90s, was created by graduate Kevin Rieffel.

I like the simplistic design of the floor Georgetown is using next season and the nod to the ‘90s teams with the lane is a nice and subtle touch.

If you have a few additional minutes to spare, I would highly suggest checking out some of the runner-ups and more interesting court designs that Georgetown received, which is also included in the original release.
