Five-star point guard Jamal Murray is one of the few remaining potential Class of 2015 prospects still on the board and the Canadian is taking an official visit to Oregon this weekend, according to multiple reports. Although currently a member of the Class of 2016, Murray could opt to reclassify and play college basketball as early as next season.

The 6-foot-5 Murray visiting the Ducks is big because many believe that Kentucky -- where Murray previously took an official visit -- and Oregon are the two favorites for the talented floor general. Murray is currently regarded as the No. 15 overall prospect in Rivals’ Class of 2016 rankings and he had a strong showing at the Nike Hoop Summit this spring. Going for a game-high 30 points to help the World Select beat Team USA, Murray showed that he’s an elite guard prospect with a lot of upside. He’s the type of prospect who might very well only spend one year on a college campus before going to the NBA.

But before we get too caught up in the hype of Murray potentially going pro, he still has a college decision to make and it’s looking more and more like the Ducks and Wildcats are the two major players to land his services. Murray is expected to make a decision on his future this summer and that choice will include which class he wants to play in as well as potentially going to college immediately.
